How long will traditional still be relevant?
Users expect that new construction projects will present (technical) solutions that meet their requirements, wishes and expectations and that building-related installations will innovate with developments in the market. The technical service provider (system integrator in combination with the installation company) is usually expected to implement this. Johan Pot and Stefan in Veluwe from Unica will record you during their lecture Bits, Bricks & Behavior on a journey from traditional to current expectations in construction projects.
The realization of projects often still takes place in a traditional manner. The so-called construction column includes all parties that are successively involved in the realization of a construction project. The knowledge and information transfer between the various links in this chain often leaves much to be desired. In addition, it is assumed that deviating from the original design by definition has a negative effect on the project budget. By following this traditional chronology and working methods, few or no additional innovative proposals are made to the client.
The current position of the system integrator is late cyclical in the traditional construction column. This is not the right position to best meet the wishes and expectations of the client/user.
It is important to test the knowledge of innovative solutions, in combination with system architecture, against the user's expectations at the earliest possible stage and to present and realize this as a suitable solution.
Unica's presentation is based on recent market research into technical developments in the market and the necessary business adjustments to better meet the requirements, wishes and expectations of clients.
