Everyone knows how important it is to work safely in the lab. But are you also aware of the latest developments and solutions to work more safely? During the World of Industry, Technology & Science from 24 to 27 September you can participate free of charge in the X-pedition Safety: How safely do you work?
The X-pedition is an interactive tour of the exhibition floor past six specialists. You will learn in a practical way about harmful noise in laboratories, the safe disposal of toxic and infectious waste and recognizing dangerous situations in the workplace. At each stand you will be asked a question. After completing the X-pedition you will receive a present and a certificate.
Working safely starts with you. Attention is therefore paid to awareness and the use of personal protective equipment at the stand of VOC instruments. There you will discover how to make safe behavior in the lab self-evident. At Denios you immediately put this knowledge into practice. Recognizable situations are simulated here that have consequences for safety on the work floor.
Air quality is essential for a healthy and safe working environment. Dupa shows how you can continuously monitor air quality with custom-made carbon filters. Don't forget the risk of harmful noise levels. The specialists at Avans+ explain how you can assess noise levels and thus protect yourself and your employees.
Continue to the SALM EN KIPP stand. There you will see how automated and problem-free processing of toxic and infectious waste makes the working environment safer. Finally, we cannot forget the microbiological safety bank. The safety bench gives a 'safe' feeling, but the user has a major influence on this. The Baker Company provides useful tips to make a microbiological safety bench truly safe
You can follow the X-pedition every day of the fair week. The safety seminar, which will take place on September 24 between 10:00 and 11:30 am, also follows on from the X-pedition.
