The SOFLUX viscosity sensor is a new and vibrating in-line process viscometer with a special shape that can be easily integrated into any plastic, polymer or elastomer extruder. It is the ideal solution to monitor any extrusion process, even the most demanding ones, such as those for special preparations, recycling, reactive extrusion, etc.

Advantages of Soflux in-line viscosity measurement in extrusion process

  • The viscosity is measured directly in the main flow of the product (no bypass loops)
  • Allows measurement at high extrusion
  • Designed to measure extremely high viscosities
  • Negligible loss
  • Simple correlation with common parameters such as MFI or intrinsic viscosity (iV)

Specifications

  • To monitor product with very high viscosity
  • Allows measurement at high extrusion temperature
  • Resistant to high pressure (300 bar)
  • Analog and digital outputs

Soflux is the first inline viscometer that is placed directly in the extruder flow

Soflux is based on Sofraser's proven vibration technology. Reliable, repeatable and continuous measurements combined with superior quality result in permanent production efficiency and increased profitability.

First truly in-line viscosity measurement for molten polymers: the Soflux is installed between the screw and the mold and measures the viscosity directly in the flow and in real-time to prevent manufacturing errors.
