Moving a robot with a load of 2.3 tons tens of meters?
Vansichen Linear Technology was one of the first to work on a linear-moving, heavily loaded robot and recently completed its most impressive setup yet. The Belgian company's engineers successfully installed the most powerful FANUC articulated-arm robot on a modular track and demonstrated it operationally. Apex Dynamics supplied two powerful AFR180 gearboxes for this impressive application.
Double drive and gearbox for lengthwise displacement
For this FT65 track, Apex Dynamics 2 delivered rock-solid AFR180 Gearboxes for longitudinal displacement. A dual drive was chosen for higher accuracy because more powerful Fanuc motors were not available. The gearboxes can each deliver 1,980 Nm of torque with a feed force of 18,000 N.
