Indu-Sol introduces the PROmesh switch P24+: Fully managed switch for PROFINET & EtherNet/IP

As Ethernet plays an increasingly important role in mechanical engineering, a scalable and powerful network infrastructure is becoming more important than ever. To provide complete insight into the health of this backbone, Indu-Sol the diagnostic switch PROmesh P24+ , a powerful 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch suitable for both PROFINET and EtherNet/IP networks.

In addition to its high port speeds, the switch features four uplink ports up to 10 Gbps. This allows large amounts of data to be bundled and reliably forwarded to higher-level systems without the switch itself becoming a bottleneck. This makes the PROmesh P24+ ideal for backbone applications where high bandwidth and fast performance contribute to network stability, security, and reliability.

Extensive environmental and gate monitoring

One of the most striking features is the comprehensive monitoring of both environmental factors and port status. All connected cables are continuously monitored for signal quality, leakage currents are monitored, and environmental influences such as vibration, light, and humidity at the installation site are clearly displayed via the web interface.

Additionally, detailed port statistics are available, such as errors, packet loss, and network load (per millisecond or per second), as well as information about network topology and neighboring devices. Users can also set custom triggers to generate specific alarms. This provides continuous insight into network performance and allows for early detection of potential problems, enabling preventative maintenance before failures occur.

The switch integrates flexibly into machine and production networks via NAT (Network Address Translation) and supports various interfaces. Built-in firewall functions and Access Control Lists (ACLs) allow you to define access rights and communication rules for each device, further enhancing network security. PROFINET Security Level 1 is also supported.

As a full-Gigabit switch, the PROmesh P24+ offers transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps. Eight priority queues and Quality of Service (QoS) ensure intelligent data management and prioritization. Configuration and monitoring are easily accomplished via the integrated web interface. Thanks to its robust metal housing and extended temperature range of –40°C to +75°C, the PROmesh P24+ is ideally suited for harsh industrial environments.
