The Industrial Automation (IA) sector looks back on a successful autumn
World of Technology & Science (WoTS) 2018
The World of Technology & Science (WoTS) trade fair consisted of not four but five worlds at the beginning of October. In addition to the World of Automation, World of Laboratory, World of Motion & Drives, World of Electronics and – now also officially – Industrial Processing took place. These industries each have their own identity, but at the same time they merge into each other. Integration is the technological trend for the future and ultimately a guarantee for the survival of the physical fair.
PROFIday 2018
During the day PROFIday 2018 numerous parties shared their knowledge about PROFIBUS, PROFINET and IO-Link in the industry. One of the keynotes came from Timo Reumerman, who works at Vanderlande. He talked about the challenges and how to apply PROFINET on a large scale within this company.
Machine building event 2018
Augmented Reality, big data, machine vision, 3D printing and IoT: these and other relatively new and potentially disruptive technologies are increasingly gaining a foothold in the industry. This image emerged clearly during the lecture program at the Machine Construction event 2018 in 1931 Congress Center in Den Bosch. Innovations in mechanical engineering were visibly discussed during a plenary opening lecture from MOBA Group.
Technicians Days 2018
From the IA sector we look back on a successful edition of Technician Days 2018. Central heating technicians were invited to participate in the sessions at six different locations in the Netherlands. The technicians first received a theoretical part, after which they could get started with the latest measuring equipment from various suppliers.
What makes the meetings so strong is the collaboration with Techniek Nederland (UNETO-VNI), OTIB and members of FHI. We look forward to a new edition in 2019!
