Innovations in the spotlight during the TechAward at WoTS 2022

Exhibitors will showcase the latest and most innovative products or technologies at World of Technology & Science 2022. Tech Award gives extra attention to these innovations. The World of Motion & Drives has a number of interesting entries.

Visitors to WoTS 2022 will be able to vote on innovations submitted by exhibitors, after which the selected innovations will compete to win the prestigious TechAward. In addition, a number of companies will compete in the brand new Green TechAward, a prize for sustainable product solutions.

The FactoryScan from Itsme can contribute to a significant increase in uptime. Itsme can provide insight into the current quality of the components in your applications with the help of our partners Siemens, Danfoss and Festo. Together they then determine the level of urgency. This allows users of the FactoryScan to choose from various green and smart innovations that guarantee or even increase uptime for the future.

Phoenix Contact introduces the NearFi Technology. NearFi enables the transmission of energy and real-time data via an air gap of a few centimeters. Through protocol-independent and latency-free Ethernet communication, Nearfi offers flexible usage options for all Ethernet protocols up to 100 Mbit/s. The technology also has the necessary sustainable properties and is therefore also participating in the Green Tech Award.

The i3 control from Yaskawa offers a universal platform for industry-specific controllers. This means that everything is technically coordinated, including engineering software and controller hardware, right up to the integrated chip technology.

Zilvertron nominates the EZ-Lock. The EZ-Lock is an innovative locking system for the modular construction of a chassis and makes it possible to lock containers/boxes in a safe, time-saving and simple way.

The EAO Benelux Series 09 CAN Keypads, which are developed for agricultural vehicles and trucks, offer a robust construction with six switches. The symbol lighting in each switch provides an extra dimension in the communication with the operator. The keypad is of a very robust design, very suitable for use in rough environments.

SMC has nominated the KFG2H-E series for the TechAward, an EHEDG-certified pneumatic coupling for the food processing industry. The smooth stainless steel (SS 316) surface with a roughness of 0.8µm and the large corners prevent the adhesion and accumulation of contamination. The couplings meet the highest protection class against dirt and moisture: IP69K. They are also suitable for water, steam and compressed air.
