Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS) is a cloud platform designed to easily monitor and manage all your Teltonika Networks devices. The system allows you to safely use the status information from your devices, collect the change configuration, access other devices and even a VPN connection to set up. Through the introduction of RMS VPN Quick Connect From now on it is much easier to set up a VPN connection.
With Quick Connect you do not need any IT knowledge to carry out the configuration. Find the configuration almost automatically place and consists of the following 6 steps:
Step 1:
Open Quick Connect in the left column
Step 2:
Click on “add new endpoint”
Step 3:
Give the “endpoint” a name and click “add device”
Step 4:
Select the Teltonika Networks devices you want to use
Step 5:
Click on “Scan Device” per device and click “add” to add the devices
Step 6:
Select your location. Optionally, you can add description and tags, but this is not required. Then click on “create”
With these 6 simple steps, the VPN service is activated and your devices are well secured.
When you activate RMS VPN, the connection is automatically disconnected after 30 minutes. You can extend this up to 48 hours via settings. This is done for the following 2 reasons. It adds an extra layer of security, for example if your login details are leaked or stolen. In addition, the data is used more efficiently, only if the RMS VPN is activated.
