With the new Panther from Ion Science, EURO-INDEX introduces a leak detector for particularly accurate, reliable, stable and reproducible measurements of virtually all gases and gas mixtures.
The device is equipped with a pre-programmed gas table including helium, hydrogen, refrigerants and SF6. With a sensitivity of 3.8 x 10-6 (0.0000038) cc/sec hydrogen, this instrument is especially suitable for locating particularly small gas leaks. However, the device is not gas-specific and therefore cannot be used to distinguish between gases.
The Panther is ergonomically designed and equipped with a color display, a handy (optionally flexible) sampling probe and a unique sampling pump, which makes the device virtually insensitive to air currents around the test object. If the freely adjustable alarm values are exceeded, the user is warned with visual, acoustic and vibration signals.
For taking measurements in poorly lit conditions, the instrument is equipped with a handy built-in flashlight, with which the measurement object can be illuminated. The Panther can even be used in strong magnetic fields, which makes it possible to use it for helium detection in MRI installations. With ION PC software the device can be configured and data logging sessions can be downloaded via Bluetooth.
