- The RIVM reports 4822 infections on Monday, 784 fewer than on Sunday. The number of new hospital admissions with corona patients increased by 19 to 88 on Monday.
- Former chairman of VNO-NCW Hans de Boer (66) has died as a result of a brain haemorrhage, reports the employers' organization. De Boer was chairman of VNO-NCW until September last year.
- The Netherlands may be stuck with lockdown measures until spring or until there are enough vaccinations, for example writes the AD based on a leaked OMT advice. The British variant of the coronavirus in particular could cause a third wave in March.
- The United Kingdom wants to conduct a trial in which people can be vaccinated 24 hours a day, writes Sky News. Currently, the UK is said to be vaccinating an average of 140 people per minute.
- Groningen students are participating in a trial in which they are tested for the coronavirus before an exam. Students will receive a rapid test result within three hours, reports the central government.
