- The RIVM reports 2735 new corona infections on Tuesday. That is a decrease of 126 cases. According to the RIVM, the decrease is partly due to the fact that a number of test streets were closed on Monday.
- Last week, a person in the province of Utrecht tested positive for the so-called E484K mutation. This is a mutation on the British variant of the coronavirus. The RIVM calls the finding is worrying.
- The Dutch economy shrank by 3.8 percent in 2020 as a result of the corona crisis. That reports CBSIn the fourth quarter, GDP was 0.1 percent lower.
- Truck manufacturer DAF has started a trial with rapid tests. DAF employees in production can voluntarily take a test, writes the Eindhoven Daily Newspaper.
- The corona crisis has caused a major backlog in driving exams. The CBR has a backlog of 610,000 exams, reports Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen of Transport and Infrastructure in a letter to the House of Representatives.
