- The RIVM reported 4217 new infections on Monday, 484 fewer than Sunday and above the weekly average of last week (4124). Hospital occupancy increased.
- AstraZeneca will deliver fewer vaccines to the EU in the coming two weeks than it had previously promised. For the Netherlands, this amounts to more than 217,000 doses, reports the RIVM.
- Business confidence in Germany has grown. The Institute for Economic Research Ifo reports that the index rose from 90.3 in January to 92.4 in February.
- Despite increased optimism, German industrial production shrank by almost 11 percent last year compared to 2019. In the automotive industry, production even fell by 25 percent, says the Federal Statistical Office.
