- The RIVM reported 13,400 new positive tests on Thursday. That is 41 fewer than on Wednesday.
- Although the new cabinet has ambitious plans, it is questionable whether the desired objectives for the climate and the nitrogen problem in 2023 will be achievable. That says the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) in response to the coalition agreement reached.
- Another energy supplier has collapsed. Naked Energy, with about 2,600 customers, has filed for bankruptcy, reports RTL News. Naked Energy customers will still receive gas and electricity. They are placed with a new supplier.
- Dutch people spent 6.9 billion euros online in the third quarter, 21 percent more than in the same period last year. That writes NU.nl. The number of purchases from China is decreasing.
- The Belgian federal government has taken a step closer to the permanent closure of its nuclear power stations with new energy supply plans. However, there remains a plan B, in which the power stations remain open longer to generate sufficient energy. writes NRC.
