- The RIVM reported 22,274 new positive corona tests on Thursday, 1,488 fewer than on Wednesday.
- China emitted less greenhouse gases in the third quarter of this year, reports the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA). The reduction is striking given the recovery of the Chinese economy.
- The EU advises member states to administer a booster vaccine no later than 9 months after vaccination. This is the only way the corona travel certificate can continue to work within the EU, writes Bloomberg.
- All adults under the age of sixty should also receive a booster vaccine, says the Health Council. Vaccinations should be administered from oldest to youngest, writes Trouw.
- The European Medicines Agency has found the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine safe and suitable for children aged 5 to 11. It is still unclear whether the vaccine will also be used in the Netherlands, reports RTL News.
