The OptoTEC series is a high-quality miniature thermoelectric cooler (TEC) that uses the latest developed thermoelectric materials. This gives the OptoTEC series a higher cooling capacity than standard products. The control in the production has been refined to ensure high uniformity and a long life of the OptoTEC. This is important in applications where the temperature is kept stable. For example, the optoelectronics that you see in telecom lasers and industrial lasers. This product line has passed the Telcordia GR-468 CORE qualification with flying colors and thus meets strict mechanical and environmental test standards.
The OptoTEC series is available in two versions. The OptoTEC OTX has a maximum operating temperature of 120°C. The OptoTEC HTX thermoelectric cooler is designed to operate at extreme temperatures of up to 150°C. Custom configurations are available for metallization, pre-tinning, ceramic patterns and solder pads.
