With the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE UL/CSA HELUKABEL is launching a new version of its proven crawler cable. The completely redesigned cable offers users a range of benefits that are particularly useful in demanding environments: from outdoor crane systems exposed to fluctuating temperatures and weather conditions to pick-and-place applications with high dynamics and small installation spaces.
The requirements for the use of track cables in mechanical and plant engineering continue to increase: on the one hand, the systems have to cope with ever greater travel distances, accelerations and speeds, and on the other hand, the available installation space is shrinking due to increasingly compact designs. The cables used in the energy chains must therefore be highly flexible and resilient, but also as thin and light as possible.
With the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE UL/CSA, Helukabel is launching a new version of its proven energy chain cables.
With the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE UL/CSA, HELUKABEL offers the ideal solution for this challenge: This further development of the proven MULTISPEED 500-TPE UL/CSA dragline rope has an innovative outer sheath made of TPE material. This makes the rope up to ten percent thinner and four percent lighter than comparable polyurethane (PUR) versions – with very high abrasion resistance. This saves users valuable space in densely packed chains. The lower weight also ensures more dynamics in the application. Another innovation is the temperature range, which has been extended both upwards and downwards. This significantly increases the service life of the rope in many applications.
Another completely new feature is the integrated tear wire, which allows the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE UL/CSA to be stripped easily, quickly and safely over longer lengths. This significantly reduces installation time. Thanks to the UL and CSA approvals, machine and plant builders can use the cable internationally with an export-oriented approach, thereby avoiding double stocking and simplifying documentation.
With almost 50 million tube cycles, HELUKABEL has extensively tested the new cable in its own test laboratories.
The proven advantages of the MULTISPEED series can also be found in the latest version. These include the small bending radius of 5xd, the filling jacket with cross baffles for optimum core guidance and the pairing/bundling of seven cores to evenly distribute the forces acting on them. The HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE UL/CSA is also available in a shielded version with maximum coverage to minimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) interference.
