Delivering what was agreed (in the built environment)
Seven associations have founded the Dutch Building Commissioning Association (DBCxA). DBCxA wants commissioning to be accepted in the Netherlands as an efficient method for performance assurance. Experts from the associations involved offer their expertise in documents and knowledge transfer. As a result, we in the chain are becoming better at delivering what has been agreed and you can join this.
By guaranteeing the quality of building performance, construction processes, buildings and installations, the chain contributes to a healthier working environment, better work performance, better energy performance and cost savings by limiting failure costs. This also contributes to the transition to a sustainable society.
The objectives of commissioning are:
- delivering a safe and healthy building;
- improving energy performance and minimizing energy use;
- reducing operational costs;
- ensuring adequate information and training of B&O staff;
- improving system documentation.
The main goal is to create a framework for a quality oriented approach teamwork which caused project costs are reduced, while the reliability and the quality of the building and installations/systems are guaranteed. Thus, the value of the owner's property is maintained in the long term.
If you want to be involved as an association or as a professional DBCxA, to learn from the knowledge of others and improve your own processes, you can also join us Max Meijer Report to find out the conditions.
