LEWA expands ecosmart® line: LCC and LCD metering pumps with higher capacities

LEWA has expanded the ecosmart® line with two new models: in addition to the LCA version, there is now the LCC and the LCD. These diaphragm metering pumps have capacities of up to 1,000 l/h and 2,000 l/h respectively. The discharge pressure is a maximum of 50 barg, while the LCA goes up to 300 l/h or 80 barg. With the LCC and LCD, LEWA makes the well-known ecosmart® product line suitable for larger capacities.

Extra safe membrane

Flexibility and safety have been the starting points for the design of the new models. The internal overflow valve ensures that overpressure in the pump does not lead to damage to the diaphragm or the drive. The PTFE sandwich diaphragm is held in position by the patented 'diaphragm protection system' (DPS). This prevents the diaphragm from being overloaded or damaged during start-up of the pump or in the event of operational errors. Furthermore, the rupture signal reacts immediately in the event of a diaphragm rupture. However, this rarely happens, because the LEWA diaphragms have a service life of several years, even under full load and continuous operation. 

Interchangeable parts

The M900 pump head forms the basis of the ecosmart® and ecoflow® models. Thanks to the modular principle, many wearing parts can be used for different types of pumps. This makes it easier to keep fewer spare parts in stock. The pump properties can also be tailored to the process; for example, the stroke frequency or plunger diameter can be adjusted.

The ecosmart® pumps can be designed both horizontally and vertically. In the new LCC and LCD models, the pump head is aligned at a 90° angle to the centre line of the plunger, making them particularly compact. This space-saving arrangement was made possible by the newly developed diaphragm drive, which is smaller than ever. 

API 675 Standard

All ecosmart® pumps are designed with a single oil bath, which is used for both the lubrication of the drive and the hydraulic drive of the pump head. This eliminates the need for two different lubricating oils. The new LEWA LCC and LCD pumps comply with API 675.
