The BMF magnetic field sensors for mounting on pneumatic cylinders with a C-groove from Balluff are particularly suitable for monitoring the piston position/position on cylinders and grippers. Here the sensor detects the magnet integrated into the piston via the cylinder wall. Thanks to this contactless position detection, the sensors function wear-free and reliably – even at higher speeds in the cylinder

Less is now really more: the new BMF magnetic field sensors replace several sensors from our previous range for the C-slot. Now almost all cylinder sizes and brands can be easily covered with even fewer designs.
Reliable mounting and control of the piston position.
The BMF can be mounted flush and is therefore also suitable for applications where a lack of space plays an important role. Since the sensor can be attached/inserted from above, the magnetic field sensor also fits where the ends of the grooves are closed and where this lateral insertion proves not to be possible. In addition, Balluff offers models with an extremely short design especially for short-stroke cylinders.
