A friendly team, good atmosphere, good food/drinks and staying overnight as real castle ladies and lords - the right mix for a great company outing! Last week a luxury VIP bus arrived to bring the colleagues to the Belgian Ardennes for a fantastic weekend.
Take the party bus to the beer tasting
The party atmosphere was immediately good! Our means of transport was transformed into a party bus with disco lights, smoke effects and sing-along hits, which made many MCS'ers go wild. The delicious sunny lunch on the terrace of the Abbey of Maredsous, with abbey beer of course, was a nice change to catch our breath.
There we also got a tour of the brewing process and the cheese factory. Stories are fun, but tasting is even more fun! A beer and cheese tasting could not be missed as a tasty conclusion to our visit.
MCS lords and ladies of the manor
We stayed at Chateau Jemeppe: a beautiful medieval castle surrounded by beautiful nature and gardens. After dinner it was time for a literal Q&A. Around the campfire we shared dreams, personal developments and highlights, facts and ambitions with each other.
From mountain biking and ziplining to a haute cuisine dinner
The next day the MCS'ers had to get up early for a sporty day. Time for action! With quad bikes we went mountain biking through the forests, villages and hills of Wallonia. There was also bouldering and ziplining by the real daredevils of the group.
The clay pigeons were fanatically shot out of the sky and during laser gaming our team motto "alone you go fast, but together you get further" was often used in the battle for victory. An active day in which boundaries were pushed, hidden talents found and fears conquered!
There's magic in the air
After all the action it was time to catch your breath in style. A luxurious 5-course dinner was waiting for the MCS'ers in the castle. Not only were the dishes impressive but our colleagues had also dressed up extra festively.
Illusionist Magic Nape led everyone around the castle garden during dessert. His amazing tricks with dice, card games and influence caused a lot of confusion and disbelief, but above all made for a memorable evening!
An unforgettable journey
The last day we stopped at a creepy haunted house with several escape rooms. From chained up searching for clues between severed limbs in the basement to searching through murder files like police detectives for clues to the hidden loot. After an indoor adventure game with mental, physical and fun games and a lunch it was unfortunately time to go home again.
Fun, sun, drinks, dancing, adventure, party, making beautiful memories... These are just a few words that describe our top weekend. But we know one thing for sure: this is a team party that will be enjoyed for a long time!
