Close collaboration within the foundation helps ASML and other multinationals increase cyber resilience
ASML will work closely with nine other multinationals in the new NL CISO Circle of Trust (CCoT) Foundation. The aim is to increase resilience in the field of cyber security among companies based in the Netherlands. The companies will, among other things, share information about current hacker threats. During the lecture by Piet Bel, Senior Security Alliance Manager, the objectives of the new foundation will be discussed in more detail during the Industrial Cyber Security event of FHI.
In addition to ASML, the CCoT consists of ABN AMRO, Ahold Delhaize, Akzo Nobel, ING, KPN, Philips, Rabobank and Shell. The NS has indicated that it also wants to participate. The foundation works closely with the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).
With the arrival of the CISO Circle of Trust foundation, companies can now gain access to the most recent and accurate information regarding advanced hacker attacks. Until recently, the National Cyber Security Center could not legally share information in this area directly with non-vital companies.
The CCoT will focus on exchanging and analyzing cyber incidents among the ten participating members. In this way, Threat Intelligence can be drawn up jointly. In this way, defensive techniques used must also be further developed, allowing entire chains to operate more safely.
As is known, ASML works closely with a large number of suppliers and cybersecurity is a fundamental part. The lecture will specifically discuss why ASML emphasizes increasing the resilience of the chain. The chain is as strong as the weakest link. ASML has an active policy to encourage and help their chain partners with complex cybersecurity issues based on the ASML Values: Challenge, Collaborate and Care.
During the presentation, Piet will provide practical tips and suggestions so that other companies can also play an active role in helping their chain partners with cybersecurity issues.
