Non-invasive Steam Measurement in Explosion Hazardous Areas
With FLUXUS ST, FLEXIM presents the world's only clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter for steam. From now on, the FLUXUS ST is also available for explosive hazardous areas. Both the stationary and portable transmitters are ATEX-/IECEx-certified for zone 2, and the transducers even for zone 1.
FLEXIM offers two complementary non-invasive solutions for low temperature as well as high temperature steam flow measurements.
The FLUXUS ST version first of all can perform both volume and mass flow measurements of saturated and superheated steam up to a temperature of 180 °C. FLUXUS ST works according to the ultrasonic transit time difference measuring principle. Due to the great measuring dynamics and the high sensitivity even at low flow rates, it is no longer necessary to open the pipe network for installation and/or reduce the pipework in order to obtain a minimum flow rate for the measuring principle. In addition, you do not have any pressure loss.
In addition, FLUXUS ST HT expands the 'cross-correlation' technology further expands the application area for steam applications in combination with FLEXIM's patented WaveInjector technology for mounting the ultrasonic sensors up to 400 °C.
For portable applications, the new and versatile FLUXUS G608 ST offers a solution for measuring steam in explosion-hazardous areas. In addition to steam, this all-rounder can also measure liquids, gases, compressed air and thermal energy.
