Premo has developed a new vehicle assembly flexible pad for the Wireless Charging of electric vehicles. The housing of this pad is made of magnetic powder in a polymer matrix or PBM (Polymer Bonded Magnetics). Thanks to the PBM, the coupling factor “K” has been increased, giving the pad a high degree of vibration and shock absorption. The mechanical dimensions are designed based on SAE International WPT2 / Z2 proposals.

Each pad has separate electrical insulation and an integrated coil. In addition, each pad is equipped with a flexible magnetic core, which provides a wireless charging power of 7.7 kW and a resonance frequency of approximately 85 kHz.
