New indoor solar cells: super efficient and beautiful
Panasonic's new Amorton AMG series amorphous silicon solar cells have a near-perfect black-reflective surface and 20% higher efficiency than the previous series.
These innovations have been made possible by an optimized production process, whereby the active surface has been significantly increased compared to the previous generation, but also the light sensitivity has been increased. This has resulted in an efficiency improvement of 20%, making the new AMG series one of the most efficient indoor amorphous solar cells on the market.
There are two standard models:
AMG-1401C measuring 41.4 x 26.1 x 1.1mm with 2.7Voc and 74.3μW mmp power at 200lx
AMG-1701C measuring 48.3 x 26.1 x 1.1mm with 4.7Voc and 83.6μW mmp power at 200lx
Many applications require customized solutions in size and shape. Panasonic offers the service for this. The application of these indoor solar panels are, among others, small portable equipment, for example remote controls and wireless IoT sensors.
The AMG-1401C and AMG-1701C Amorton solar cells combine ethical design, high efficiency and cost optimization, making them ideal for numerous energy harvesting applications.
