METCASE has launched a new 10.5-inch version of its advanced TECHNOMET 19″ desktop mini-rack enclosures.
The new 10.5-inch enclosures are designed for mounting half-width (42HP) sub racks, chassis and front panels. This new format serves a slightly different customer base as it is more suited to compact and portable electronics applications. The new enclosures are perfect for desktop and portable applications including test and measurement equipment, networking and communications, industrial computers, sound and studio systems, laboratory instrumentation and industrial control. Metcase has also introduced carry handle versions to provide even greater portability when required.
Standard panel mounts with caged nut holes for mounting the equipment are included in the front and rear enclosures. In addition, the base and removable back panel are ventilated. Inside there are two sub rack/chassis support rails, along with M4 ground posts on each panel. In addition, the pre-formed ABS anti-slip feet are also included.
The new half-width enclosures are available as standard in a height of 3U or 4U and a depth of 330 mm (custom dimensions are available to order). There are two standard colours: Light gray (RAL 7035) and Anthracite (RAL 7016).
