From the chairman
Dear members, we are halfway through 2023 and the impact and scale of the energy transition is becoming increasingly clear for the electricity supply, as became apparent during the Access to Energy Dialogue in Arnhem.
The necessary scaling up and associated demand for technicians poses a major challenge. The board is investigating how we as the EMVT association can play a (more) active role in this. Furthermore, there is our new website and Kwx will continue under a new name. Wishing you a good and sunny summer period.
Review of Belpa visit
In beautiful and sunny Harderwijk we were very hospitably received on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023, by our host Henk Barten, on behalf of Belpa. After opening the members meeting, Henk explained the company in more detail by means of a presentation.
Power Electronics & Energy Storage event
On Tuesday, June 27, the Power Electronics & Energy Storage event will take place in 1931 Congrescentrum in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Renewed EMVT association website
The website of the EMVT association has been updated and transferred to the FHI environment. As a result, the website now runs on the FHI platform and the findability is a lot better.
Access to Energy Dialogue
Thursday, June 1, was the “Access to Energy Dialogue” event in the Eusebius Church in Arnhem. Energy experts held discussions at a large number of tables at Arnhems Buiten and Industrie Kleefse Waard
Defense Material Organization is now called Materiel and IT Command
The Defense Materiel Organization (DMO) has a new name. The organization has been called Materiel and IT Command (Commit) since April 25, 2023.
Acquisition of KwX
KWx BV was recently acquired by the Swiss Astrol Electronic AG; a leading developer and manufacturer of solid-state pulsed power switches.
KWx has been working successfully with this Swiss company for many years, particularly in the field of the development of solid-state DC breakers for the maritime industry.
