Word from the chairman
Dear members,

For many years I have fulfilled the role of chairman of the EMVT association with great enthusiasm and pleasure, but as with many things in life, everything comes to an end. I would like to (physically) hand over the gavel to my successor, one of the members of our association. Here is my appeal: who wants to take on the role of chairman in the coming years and further guide the ideas of our beautiful association during the energy transition?

Defense puts the first hydrogen vehicles into use
Odorless and colorless hydrogen: 33 new Defense vehicles will be driving on it in the coming months. The first 9 have been in use since June 28. A hydrogen car is an electric vehicle with hydrogen as energy storage. The vehicle uses the electricity released from hydrogen.

TU Delft organizes workshops:
“FlexBat meets FLEXINet”:

Adding intelligent flexibility to the distribution network.
Flexibility is the key for a sustainable energy system. The more renewable energy we use, the more flexible the entire energy system must be.

Various forms of energy storage will play a crucial role. On October 18, TU Delft, together with various researchers and the Top Sector Energy, is organizing a workshop on the importance of flexibility to accelerate the integration of energy systems.

Lunch session October 28
On Friday afternoon, October 28, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, we will organize a lunch session for you as an EMVT member via Microsoft Teams.

Review of DEKRA visit
At the start of the summer on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the matchmaking event was EMVT-EMC-ESD association with the theme "reliable sustainable energy". The matchmaking event was held at DEKRA-Arnhem.

After a welcome and short safety instruction from Hans Overbeek from DEKRA, the EMVT chairman gave a presentation on “EMVT, the next 25 years”, followed by a presentation by Niek Moonen from the University of Twente on “energy access” and “mini grids”. Sanne de Goede from DEKRA (sales director product testing) gave a presentation about DEKRA and an introduction to the tour of the EMC and battery laboratory. It was a very inspiring and educational afternoon, the presentations can be requested from Miranda (miranda@fhi.nl) and the attached photo gives an impression.

EMVT-ALV
The EMVT will organize its annual General Members Meeting on Wednesday, November 23. This year it will take place at HAN W@TTS in Arnhem from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
Please reserve this date in your diary, the official invitation will follow in October.
