At stand 8.D.050 Spin Pompen will once again present the SLH-5G, the new generation of hygienic screw spindle pumps from Bornemann. The new SLH-5G pump has been developed to meet the needs of the food industry even further.

20 years of market knowledge
“As a pioneer and market leader in the field of screw spindle pumps, Bornemann has acquired a unique amount of knowledge over the past 20 years about the application of this pump principle in hygienic processes,” explains Dick Kieneker of Spin Pompen. 

“In combination with an extensive research process, these years of experience have led to a beautiful end result. In addition to the highest level of hygiene and reliability, with which the 4G series already distinguished itself, the SLH-5G offers a more durable design, unprecedented efficiency for a screw spindle pump and important advantages in terms of maintenance and flexibility,” adds the Sales Manager.

Greater capacity
The optimized design of both the spindles and the suction connection and the renewed bearing bracket ensure an even higher yield per rotation. “With a comparable size, the new Bornemann pump has a capacity of up to 25% greater than screw spindle pumps from other brands,” says Kieneker.

By using fewer parts and more stainless steel castings, the manufacturer has also succeeded in launching a more durable screw spindle pump with less weight and therefore attractive pricing with the SLH-5G.

Easy maintenance
The smart patented design of the spindle synchronization also ensures that the bearing bracket never has to be opened to adjust the timing of the spindles.

The lower weight of the pump, the use of standard components in the bearing bracket and the new optional full cartridge mechanical seals also make maintenance significantly faster and easier.

Usage flexibility
The new SLH-5G twin screw pump from Bornemann offers a unique choice of spindle types as standard, offering a proven spindle design for even the most complex applications. Consider very fragile or shear-sensitive products or applications with a very high capacity or pressure. 

Thanks to the new full cartridge mechanical seals, the most aggressive media can also be pumped without any problems.

Interchangeability
The SLH-5G screw spindle pump is suitable for a maximum pressure of 25 bar and offers a maximum capacity of no less than 350 m³/hour. It is supplied with a hygienic frame as standard.

The new pump replaces the SLH-4G and SLH-4U screw spindle pumps. It is fully interchangeable with both these 2 pump types of the 4th generation and with the Bornemann pumps of the third generation (SLH-xxx/SLH-3G).
