OperationAIR: From a looming shortage of ventilators for corona patients to a working emergency ventilator.
During the first wave of the Coronavirus in March, the number of patients in the ICUs rose sharply and this threatened a shortage of ventilators. A group of students from the TU Delft stood up and developed a working prototype within a few weeks to prevent a shortage.
Hubald Verzijl, Chief Electronic Design Engineer, of OperationAIR will elaborate in his presentation on this educational and special process from the beginning to the end. Important aspects that will be discussed in the webinar are: design, component and material selection, cooperation in the chain, certification/inspection and the actual production.
