Twice a year, FHI Industrial Automation organizes a meeting for the Energy Platform and the Fluid Platform. During these consultations, current developments in the field of energy and fluid measuring equipment are discussed, with a focus on legislation and regulations. In addition to suppliers and users of this measuring equipment, NMi, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Telecom Agency are also involved in these consultations.

The spring meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 14. In addition to the regular topics in the field of supervision, national and European regulations and OIML and WELMEC, attention is also paid to the consequences of BREXIT for certification processes and for an investigation into the effects of electromagnetic interference on static electricity meters.

VSL and the University of Twente, in consultation with Netbeheer Nederland, have conducted extensive research into electromagnetic interference on electricity meters. The reason for this was that in a number of specific cases and circumstances there were deviations in the meter instructions up to 2000%. During the Plaform Energie consultation, VSL will provide feedback on the results so far.

The spring meeting of the Energy and Liquid Platforms on April 14 will take place online. The day is divided into three time blocks:

11.00 - 12.00: Platform Energy (including electromagnetic interference on static electricity meters)
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Joint consultation regarding legislation and regulations, supervision and OIML & WELMEC
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Fluid Platform (including CSA theme presentation, BREXIT consequences for certification process)

If you are interested in these topics and would like to participate to determine whether you would like to join one of the platforms, please email: susanne@fhi.nl
