Grid-EYE sensor module: detection in any environment
The applications of sensors extend beyond just detecting the number of visitors at a location. Think for example of the lighting along the road, high up in a factory hall or on the ceiling of an office space: thanks to detection via sensors, the light only comes on when someone is nearby. In this way, people detection becomes not only accurate but also sustainable and profitable. 
MEMS technology
The versatility of sensors is demonstrated by the applications of our Grid-EYE sensor module. The sensor comprises 64 thermocouples on an 8x8 grid, detects and absorbs infrared signals and uses MEMS technology. The module detects people at an angle of up to 60 degrees via an integrated silicone lens, after which the measured values are visible in 1 to 10 frames per second via an I2C interface.
Detection of everything
Because the Grid-EYE detects based on temperature, it does not matter for the observation whether and in which direction an object moves. The privacy of a person is also guaranteed. Add all these properties together and the applications of the Grid-EYE are almost endless. From controlling visitor numbers to use in oven equipment, from detection in medical systems to energy savings and temperature measurements in industry: the Grid-EYE pays off everywhere.
