Leadertech's mesh gaskets are knitted, fine-mesh metal mesh gaskets that are used to provide EMC protection. This means that transitions and connections must be electrically connected to the chassis.
The most common wire materials:
- Monel, a nickel-copper alloy:
Most commonly used, it offers excellent EMI/RFI protection, high resistance to oxidation combined with high tensile strength and resilience. - SnCuFe, tinned copper clad steel:
Provides the best shielding at lower frequencies, especially with regard to magnetic fields. - Aluminium:
Only used when the adjacent surfaces are also made of aluminium.
The gaskets can be supplied in different shapes and sizes. It offers lasting resilience and flexible mounting options.
It provides powerful EMC shielding through uniform contact with minimal compression force.
The applications include: transitions at antennas, under chassis connectors, under gland rings and ground rings.
