The number of jobs for people with disabilities is still increasing. This is evident from the trend report Jobs Agreement about the first quarter of this year that the UWV has published. This trend report contains the current status of the number of jobs created for people with disabilities as of March 31.
Positive trend
The share of temporary jobs and secondments is becoming somewhat smaller, but the share of employment directly with employers is slightly larger. The market sector is also well on its way to achieving the next target, namely 23,000 jobs by the end of this year. To actually create these jobs, considerable efforts will be required over the next six months.
Conditions
The conditions for employers must be in order to achieve the objective, such as employer services and transparency in the supply of candidates. From the poll by the UWV for example, it appears again that many municipalities are lagging behind in creating profiles of candidates. The trend report is a snapshot and not an official count; this is announced once a year. Click here for the official figures for 2016.
