Predictive maintenance functions in braking energy modules
The DC Link buffer modules Pxt, offer active energy management for servo and frequency controllers. They now have a new function: monitoring of the storage capacity during operation.
This parameterizable function provides permanent capacity monitoring of the capacitor bank. A warning is issued when a predefined minimum capacity value is reached. This is done either via an LED display on the device, via a digital output or a message via a fieldbus. This ensures that the usable energy quantity of the Koch Pxt units is always sufficient for the intended application during the service life or that predictive maintenance is indicated at an early stage. More available power, a more stable energy network, a safe, faster operation of the machine, at the same time a longer service life and subsequently an even lower energy consumption of the electrical drive technology are the core properties that the active energy management modules Pxt from Koch.
The product family is also approved to UL and CSA standards, providing simplified access for worldwide use.
