Due to growing international competition, pressure on margins and changes in the chain, many manufacturing companies experience the pressure to work even more efficiently. Much efficiency improvement is hidden in better cooperation between IT and OT. IT is the baby of the business, where everything revolves around financial data. OT is the engine of the shop floor, where productivity is almost obsessively controlled. Two separate worlds that suddenly have to work together to make their organization future-proof. In this presentation we discuss the steps that are needed to get both in line, with practical examples.
