Producer confidence fell again in June. Compared to May, the index fell from 4.7 to 3.3, the lowest level in almost 3 years. reports CBS.
Expected activity in industry in particular showed a downward trend in June, while opinions on the order book and inventories were also less positive. In the electrical engineering and machinery sector, confidence fell from 6.7 to 4.7. The most pessimists were to be found in the transport equipment and metal industries.
Yet there are positive indicators. The number of entrepreneurs who consider the order position to be large prevails over the number of entrepreneurs who consider the order portfolio to be small. The number of entrepreneurs who consider the stock of end products to be too small is also greater than the number who consider the stocks too large.
