In September, the producer confidence of the industry remained virtually stable at an index value of 5.7 compared to 5.9 in August. Producers were less positive about the expected activity.

Since the beginning of this year signals CBS a small downward trend. Nevertheless, confidence is still well above the average of the past twenty years (0.8). Confidence among entrepreneurs reached its highest value in February 2018 at 10.9 and its lowest value in February 2009 (-23.5).

According to the CBS, the sub-indicators of producer confidence are positive. There are more entrepreneurs who expect their production to increase in the coming three months than entrepreneurs who foresee a decrease in production. The number of entrepreneurs who consider the stock of finished product to be too small is greater than the number who consider the stocks to be too large.

In July 2017, the average daily production of the industry was 2 percent higher than in July 2017. The increase is smaller than in June.
