“Together we create a complete IoT solution for every organization”

For successful IoT solutions a lot of links are needed. Delmation focuses on supplying hardware and works as a specialized supplier for companies that offer complete solutions. A good example of such solution partner is VTM. For this article we spoke with Ashwin van der Waal (Business Consultant IoT at VTM) and Kim van Brugge (Managing Director at Delmation). Using a case, they talk about the collaboration between VTM and Delmation.

IoT Business unit for total solutions

Ashwin tells us: “We have been very strong in connectivity for a long time because we saw the market shifting. We saw the demand for this IoT total solutions increasing, which is why we started a separate business unit. The IoT business unit provides solutions from sensor to dashboard. Think about hardware/sensors, connectivity, data processing, data translation and visualization and monitoring of the connections/solutions. We use standard solutions as much as possible for the hardware/sensors.”

Delmation has a very extensive portfolio for hardware/sensors that VTM uses as a partner. In addition, Delmation is one great sparring partner who really help us with their knowledge. The foundation has been laid with a number of joint projects and we will expand and strengthen them in the coming years!

Climate monitoring of local school community

The case being worked out is installed at Lentiz educational group. From summer 2023, schools will be obliged to use it in all classrooms Co2 level to monitor. The 10 Lentiz branches have been equipped with the installation of 400 sensors.

Ashwin van der Waal: “We are going for a total of 400 Milesight AM103L installing sensors to provide insight into temperature, humidity and CO2 per room. We receive the data per school in the VTM IoT portal via a private LoRa network. We can then translate and visualize the data per room, per floor or per branch. Through the various alarm options, the school is proactively informed about disturbances. This means that the teacher does not have to check the values themselves, but reacts based on the message from our system.
