Building and maintaining a machine or system requires extensive knowledge and expertise. This applies not only to the design phase, but also to installation and maintenance during operation. From machine safety and low-voltage requirements to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), each aspect plays a crucial role in a well-functioning system.

At Phoenix Contact Academy, we believe that knowledge sharing becomes more powerful when teams learn together. This was evident during the private EMC Seminar we recently hosted for the Wetterskip Fryslân team.

Instead of individual participation in an open EMC Seminar, Wetterskip Fryslân opted for a private session at our Academy in Zevenaar. Ten colleagues from various disciplines, from hardware engineering to installation and maintenance managers, gathered to delve deeper into the world of EMC.

During the seminar, we guided participants through the European EMC Directive, from basic principles and legal requirements to the major sources of interference and measures against EMI disturbance. Practical demonstrations and measurements made the theory tangible and relatable. The result? Valuable insights and discussions that directly contribute to greater awareness in daily practice.

One participant commented: "The practical examples resonated well with the workplace, and there was ample opportunity for questions and interaction. A valuable meeting that certainly contributes to greater awareness and insight into the topic."

Of course, you can also participate in the seminar individually. Check out the scheduled sessions for the upcoming season on our website 👉 EMC and Power Quality | Phoenix Contact
