On October 11, our members were invited to attend a symposium of the SCENT project. SCENT is an abbreviation that stands for: 'Smart Cities EMC Network for Training. In this project, 9 PhD students conduct research into the optimal combination of power electronics and information technology in order to realize a reliable and modern energy supply.

The purpose of this European-subsidized project is twofold:
1) Train new generations of researchers who can make a valuable contribution to society. To achieve this, close collaboration is established between students and industry and the results are made known.
2) To introduce different cultures to each other to promote peaceful cooperation.
