Prevent condensation damage to pipes? This is possible with the EE046 Dew Point Monitor.
We have all drunk from a cold glass and condensation forms in the form of water droplets. This occurs when the relative humidity (RH) near the surface reaches 100% due to the colder temperature of the surface. Condensation can also occur on pipes, which can cause serious damage to these pipes due to corrosion.
However, these problems can be prevented. For example, there is the EE046 condensation monitor that accurately measures the relative humidity and temperature on and near pipes and can thus determine whether a dew point moment can occur. The sensor contains a relay output and with this contact an early warning can be given when a dew point situation needs to be prevented.
This can prevent damage to pipes.
The EE046 is available in two versions:
- Wall/tube model: this is suitable for installation on flat surfaces and tubes with a diameter of up to 50 mm. This is often used on cooling ceilings, on cooling and/or cold water pipes, cooled surfaces and cooling beams.
- The new clip-on model: this model is suitable for plastic and aluminium composite pipes with a diameter of 16 mm. This model is ideal for underfloor heating.
These sensors have a fast response time and a stable measurement in the long term. In this way you can quickly detect fluctuations in humidity or changes in surface temperature.
The relay also indicates a power failure or a broken cable. In addition, an LED indicates the status of the EE046 (normal operation / alarm / power failure).
The high-quality moisture detection element is protected from dust and dirt by the special E+E coating. This ensures long-term stable and reliable measurements in harsh and polluted environments.
Commonly used applications:
- Pipes for fluid
- Cooling beams
- Switch cabinets
