The FT 55RL(2)AM series of laser distance sensors from Sensopart is being expanded with three new models. At the request of many customers, these models have a shorter measuring range of 40 to 200mm with a high repeatability.

Laser distance sensor with IO-Link

The FT 55-RLAM series is known for its reliable and accurate distance measurements. The series has distance sensors with IO-Link (5-pin connection and choice of class 1 or 2 laser) or laser sensors with an RS485 interface (8-pin connection). The new models are also equipped with these interfaces and connections, whereby a class 1 or 2 laser distance sensor with IO-Link can again be selected. This makes the laser sensors easy to integrate into modern production systems.

What makes these new models unique?

The new FT 55 models are distinguished by their exceptional precision thanks to optimized resolution (≤ 10 µm), repeatability (1 to 45 µm) and linearity (≤ 0.2 mm). Despite having a shorter measuring range (40 to 200 mm), the models offer a significant improvement in measurement performance compared to previous versions. The robust metal housing provides additional durability, making the sensors resistant to harsh conditions. In addition, the intuitive LCD display allows for easy configuration and adjustment, making the sensors flexible in use in various industrial processes.

Flexible solutions for every application

With the expansion of the FT 55-RLAM series, users can benefit from even more flexibility without sacrificing the robustness and reliability they have come to expect from SensoPart. Whether position determination in robotics, measuring thicknesses or monitoring the position of components during production processes, the FT 55 series offers a suitable solution for every challenge.
