The task of load-bearing safety couplings is to temporarily limit the load as long as the torque exceeds a limit and can cause damage. It often remains unknown which circumstances led to an overload and how often a slip event occurred.

This is where the KTR slip angle detector around the corner. The innovative slip control system records every slip process, so that critical operating conditions can be recognized and assigned to the slip events. The system records when a slip event has occurred and how many degrees and revolutions at what speed the clutch has slipped. By adding up the individual slip events, it can be estimated when the slip element needs to be replaced. The data is stored in the box and can be called up via a smartphone app.
