Every reducer or gearbox contains lubricant. Without lubricant, even the best reducers would not last long. Lubricant prevents wear on surfaces rolling or sliding past each other, provides cooling, reduces noise, ensures less vibration and reduces the shock on the gearing during an abrupt reversing movement of the motor. An extremely important component in mechanics!
Apex Dynamics has been using a special lubricant from the company Nye Lubricants, which is in fact a kind of gel. In the Apex Dynamics brochures you can read “Lubricated with Nyogel 792D synthetic grease (smart grease) and sealed to IP65 standards prevents leakage and is maintenance free.”
