Mico Pro is the new and innovative current monitoring system from Murrelektronik. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be precisely tailored to the required application. This results in a very favourable cost-benefit effect with maximum space saving.
The patented switch-off characteristic ensures that the machine remains optimally operational. Mico Pro ensures consistent protection of all load and control currents and recognises critical moments in good time. Mico Pro signals limit loads and switches off affected channels in a targeted manner – 'as late as possible, as early as necessary.' Thanks to two new system extensions, Mico Pro is now even more versatile.
Full Power – Mico Pro with integrated power supply
New power supplies with an output current of 5 or 10A can be integrated directly into Mico-Pro stations. Since they replace the separate power supply, they save space in the control cabinet. The tasks (collected alarm message, early 90 percent warning, control signal for remote maintenance) are taken over one-to-one by the power supplies. In parallel operation, a maximum of 20A can be supplied. The efficiency is high, which keeps the temperatures in the control cabinet low. The power supplies can be connected to the monitoring modules with just a few steps and without wiring time by means of practical jumpers.
NEC Class 2 – Facilitates the UL approval process
Murrelektronik has a wide range of modules for Mico Pro, all of which are certified according to NEC Class 2 and – remarkably – can monitor a maximum current of 4A. With a powerful power supply, many NEC Class 2 load current circuits can be set up in this way. According to UL definition, there is no risk of electric shock or fire in such circuits due to the limited energy supply (100 VA). The control cabinet components used in a Class 2 circuit (according to UL508A) therefore do not have to be certified by UL. This makes the approval process for control cabinets considerably simpler. The other advantages: more space in the control cabinet, easy selection of a standard power supply (of course also from Murrelektronik) and significantly reduced wiring.
