TechAward 2022: vote for your favorite innovation
Nine entries are competing for the TechAward 2022 of the World of Electronics, one of the worlds at the WoTS – the largest trade fair for technology and science in the Netherlands. A professional jury and the public will determine together which entries be nominated for the prestigious award.
In a previous article we introduced the first entries to you. In this news item the last six candidates are up. You can cast your vote until 31 August. The four nominees will be allowed to present their innovations on the trade fair floor. The winner will be announced on Friday 30 September on the closing day of WoTS.
Green Tech Award
New this year is the presentation of the Green Tech Award. The exhibitor who can demonstrate that the innovation makes a demonstrable positive contribution to sustainability has a chance to win this 'green' award. The fact that sustainability is high on the agenda of many technology companies is evident from the fact that no fewer than five of the nine entries are competing for the Green Tech Award. Below we introduce the last six innovations to you. CN Red – 2 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO)
The 2 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO) is the ideal oscilloscope for electronic debugging and testing anywhere. Featuring a capacitive touchscreen and a highly intuitive user interface, the 2 Series MSO joins Tektronix’s award-winning family of next-generation oscilloscopes. The 2 Series MSO is the first portable oscilloscope to offer benchtop performance. Rohde & Schwarz – RTS AREG800A (Green Tech Award)
The RTS Radar Test System overcomes obstacles in testing automotive radar systems for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) systems. It is a target simulator that generates dynamic radar echoes that can be used in all stages of radar sensor testing. From pre-development through hardware-in-the-loop lab testing to validation of integrated ADAS/AD functions. Salland Electronics – IoT platform ThingsWay (Green Tech Award)
The ThingsWay platform provides a flying start for IoT projects. The platform makes it possible to connect applications directly and quickly to the internet. The notifications come in via SMS or e-mail and data is stored in the cloud. In the maintenance industry, savings of up to 50% are possible. This makes the platform a solution for the shortage of maintenance personnel.
SCHURTER Electronics – CHS
Conventional switches require unsightly mounting holes in the user interface. This is not the case with the new SCHURTER CHS. The abbreviation CHS stands for Capacitive Hidden Switch. The switch can be mounted concealed behind the surface of non-conductive materials and is therefore invisible. This opens up completely new possibilities for designing user interfaces that optimally meet the requirements of specific applications. TDK-LAMBDA France SAS – PFH500F 500W AC-DC Power Module
In environments where convection or forced air cooling is not feasible, use the high-efficiency PFH500 Series AC-DC power supplies in a 4′ x 2.4′ footprint. Suitable for outdoor enclosures or liquid-cooled applications, these PCB-mount power supplies accept a wide range of AC input voltages and provide an adjustable, regulated 28V output. With a conduction-cooled baseplate that withstands temperatures from -40°C to 100°C, the supplies operate in high ambient temperatures.
Weiss Technik Nederland – The new ClimeEvent with absolute humidity control (Green Tech Award)
The ClimeEvent 2 is the successor to the successful ClimeEvent. The ClimeEvent has been completely redesigned in terms of technology, appearance and functionality, based on feedback from users. This allows the ClimeEvent 2 to meet the ever-increasing demands of customers, with even higher precision.
