Balluff expands the range of temperature sensors with media contact, as used in hydraulic power units. New are a temperature sensor with display, a temperature transmitter and a PT1000 sensor.

The type without display is particularly compact and vibration-resistant, while the types with a rotatable and easy-to-read display offer great ease of use and flexible installation. Depending on the version, the BFT sensors provide PNP switching outputs, analog signals 0...10V /4...20mA, or they work as a PT1000 sensor. They are easy to install using a standard process connection with G and NPT threads. Only a 4-pin M12 plug on the sensor is required for integration.

Continuous monitoring of process media on machines and installations contributes greatly to process safety. Values that must be maintained are pressure, level and temperature. For example, if the temperature of the hydraulic fluid needs to be monitored in a hydraulic system, this can be done reliably using our BFT temperature sensors with media contact.

Monitoring the temperature in the hydraulic circuit guarantees correct fluid viscosity and therefore the best performance of a machine. Critical process conditions, such as a temperature limit, can be controlled directly via the switching output. An analog output ensures continuous measurement results. The BFT temperature sensors also stand out when it comes to monitoring cooling water, lubricants and compressed air, making them ideal for a variety of applications.
