Faston connectors are widely used in electronics, but from now on they can also be tested well, quickly and safely, also at high currents up to 50A. The new high-current test probe 1075/GV is ideal for contacting fastons without releasing large forces due to the unique gripping UX tip shape.
These flat connectors are increasingly used in eMobility devices and, for example, in infotainment in cars.
During end-of-line, burn-in and run-in testing, the individual contacts of these devices must be contacted.
The contact surfaces on the end face are usually too small to reliably transmit high currents. At the same time, the test must not leave any traces on the contact surfaces.
The fixed part of the contact pin allows an ideal and permanently secure alignment with the faston to be tested. When the contact head is guided over the flat lip, the movable part of the head clamps the flat pin against the fixed part. In this way, a large contact surface is guaranteed without affecting the contact surfaces of the DUT.
