To make COB LEDs perform optimally, it is important to dissipate the heat as quickly and as well as possible. For optimal heat emission of COBs or SMD LED modules, there are various types of thermal pastes and foils from Parker Chomerics.
Pastes offer the best thermal conductivity, but they have the disadvantage that consistent processing is not easy. A good alternative can be pads, which can be custom punched in-house according to customer requirements, so that they fit directly under a COB LED. These can be provided with a one- or two-sided adhesive layer.
For extremely good heat conduction graphite pads can be used, they are also relatively cheap. But graphite is electrically conductive and the material is hard, so it cannot be used as a gap filler.
