Simulation technology provides many advantages in training, especially when safety is at stake. More and more train, tram and metro companies are therefore choosing Transurb simulators. A beautiful story of how Belgian knowledge and technology are marketed internationally. The heart of the hardware are ELO's touchscreens. Whatever simulator Transurb makes, the ELO touch technology ensures reliable operation.
Customized simulation
Transurb Simulation makes different types of simulators which can now be found all over the world. It's the secret behind success customization that Transurb Simulation delivers for every customer. “We deliver a fully finished product, adapted to the customer's needs. This starts with our team going on site to create a complete 3D model of the tracks based on video images. That software is then added to the cabin.”
Transurb can recreate the entire cockpit (Full-Cab) for the driver, from the first to the last button, for 100% recognisability. But also other solutions, from a compact simulator (Compact) where the cabin can change, to even a portable version (Nano), a simulator with VR glasses (Mixed Reality) and a cloud model that teaches maintenance technicians to detect errors in a virtual train ( Cloud)
Perfect fit
One of the most important elements of the simulator is of course the screen. This should provide a razor-sharp image, so that the user always sees what he needs to see. Transurb Simulation has been calling on DOBIT for this for years. “Our simulators are used worldwide. Reliability is therefore the most important characteristic that all components share. Whatever type of ELO monitor we choose at DOBIT, surface-mounted, bracket-mounted or built into the housing, we always receive durable touch technology that works as it should. And that is necessary, because the simulators are used very intensively. The fact that we never receive any complaints about it confirms that we made the right choice.”
